Going Out on a School Night

Megan…ohhhh, Megan.

It started at 8 PM. Megan said, “Heather, you want to go out to a club tonight?”

“No way!” I said. “It’s almost my bedtime. The Lakers are on. School’s tomorrow. One hundred and fifty teenagers are tomorrow.”

“Come on.”

“Okay,” I said. “You’re so persuasive.”

We left the house at 9:30, picked up Hoff and Steve, and headed for Apple, a fairly new club in Hollywood. USC was having a law school grad party there, and we joined in the festivities.

“Bits” from the Apple, a Hollywood club:
1. If they play the song, “Eye of The Tiger”, you must stand and spontaneously do a workout video dance complete with every kickboxing move you can muster.
2. Apparently asking a bartender to make a drink “light on the liquor” will garner you many raised eyebrows from everyone within earshot (including the bartender).
3. When the drunk lady walks into the single stall bathroom with you, you must gently escort her out, reminding her that one stall is for one person rather than two, and reminding yourself that she probably understands law better than math.
